FAD Awards 2019

Yesterday, the night of architecture were back in Barcelona another year, a party that each year gathers together a thousand professionals for the prize-giving ceremony of the FAD Awards for Architecture and Interior Design. Students have an special role during this event, because of the Habitàcola Awards prize-giving.

The FAD awards were established in 1958 with the aim of promoting current state-of-the-art artwork and recognising the quality of traditional languages in opening new paths.

Nowadays, the same desire of promoting the values of architecture and interior design in our everyday social cultural lives still lives on, and the initial creative field has expanded in the last few years, adapting the Awards to a more complicated and fickle reality than ever.

FAD Awards for Architecture and Interior Design are the longest-lived and most widely recognized awards in Spain and Portugal in these disciplines and this year they are celebrating their 61st staging. As every year the best projects in the categories of Architecture, Interior Design, City and Landscape and Ephemeral Interventions will be highlighted, among the shortlist projects.
